Let’s start off the week with some great—and all new—TV!
Surface, 8pm, NBC. Dive into the depths of the season finale tonight.
Skating With Celebrities, 8pm, FOX. This so-bad-it’s-good reality show glides on towards another elimination tonight. With sequins, lots of sequins.
Wife Swap, 8pm, ABC. Are we the only ones who can’t help giggling at the title of this show? How did they get it past the censors? Tonight’s swapping is brand new.
The Bachelor, 9pm, ABC. Women put on fancy dresses and embarrass themselves in hopes of catching a man. New episode, same old story.
24, 9pm, FOX. Jack’s battling all new evil tonight. For an hour.
Medium, 10pm, NBC. An all-new episode pits our favorite psychic soccer mom against ghostly baddies.
Rollergirls, 10pm, A&E. We admit it. We love these hard-skating bad girls. Of course, Medium is the best thing on at 10pm, so we recommend you catch the 1am repeat of this reality treat.

Al Lewis, a.k.a. ‘Grandpa’ from The Munsters, died on Saturday at the age of 83. While he was best known for the popular ‘60s series, Lewis appeared in more recent fare such as Married to the Mob and Car 54, Where are You? A battle with a long illness was cited as the cause of death.
Britney Spears Goes Conservative For Will & Grace

More details about Britney’s guest star appearance have emerged:
Britney is shedding the skin-tight outfits and gyrations for a turn as a conservative Christian talk show host on NBC’s Will & Grace. Viewers will likely be anxious to see if the pop diva’s acting skills have improved. We’ll be tuning in!
Rather than singing or playing herself, Spears, 24, will take a stab at comedy acting, portraying a Christian conservative talk show host in a guest appearance on the gay-themed series, NBC said Wednesday.
She will share most of her scenes with the flamboyant Will & Grace character Jack, played by Emmy winner Sean Hayes, an NBC spokesman said.
The episode, marking Spears’ first gig as an entertainer since giving birth to a son in September, will be taped February 15 and air on April 13. Her last real experience as an actress came in the 2002 teen road film Crossroads.

NBC Developing Online-Only Series

With our favorite shows moving beyond the television set to places such as our computers and cell phones, it’s hardly a shock that an online-exclusive series will soon debut. NBC will air an American Idol type music competition series entitled StarTomorrow, debuting this summer. Certainly an intriguing idea. Do you think viewers will tune in?
In addition to the performances, the show will offer video packages that include interviews, rehearsal footage and background information on each group. The winner of the 16-week series will get a recording contract with Casablanca Records, headed by music-biz veteran Tommy Mottola—who’s also an executive producer of the series.
“This is the first time NBC will be distributing a network-quality program exclusively online,” says Jeff Gaspin, who oversees digital content for NBC. “We want to give consumers a new viewing experience, and digital content enables us to give more scheduling and programming latitude to them, truly allowing viewers to create their own show.”

We sure will miss her! One of the best actresses on television, on the best crime show today, will miss six episodes for maternity leave. Mariska’s character, Olivia Benson, will not be pregnant on the show. Hmm…that would be hard to explain, since Olivia never has time to date!
Gladiator’s Connie Nielsen will fill in for Hargitay.

Will & Grace, 8pm, NBC. The end is nearing for this fan favorite, so don’t miss this all-new episode.
That 70s Show, 8pm, FOX. The once beloved comedy limps towards a tarnished end.
Smallville, 8pm, the WB. Clark and company deal with repercussions from last week’s emotionally devastating episode.
CSI, 9pm, CBS. Grissom and crew hunt down the bad guys, completely ignoring the law, as usual.
My Name Is Earl, 9pm, NBC. The lovable barfly continues to make things right.
The O.C., 9pm, FOX. Uh-oh, little sisters can be trouble! Especially when they arrive out of the blue for no other reason than to be a plot device!
Beauty and the Geek, 9pm, the WB. Oh, how we love this show! Our biggest wish is that Chris and Cher would somehow be forced to pair up, then get eliminated!
Without A Trace, 10pm, CBS. Here’s betting the crack team will find plenty of traces.
ER, 10pm, NBC. Can you believe this show is still on?

Bones, 9pm, FOX. The two hot leads continue to investigate dead stuff while ignoring the romantic beatings of their own hearts.
Biggest Loser, 9pm, NBC. More adventures of Incredibly Shrinking People.
Veronica Mars, 9pm, UPN. Our favorite sweetheart detective is on the case.

Britney Spears To Appear On Will & Grace

Former pop sensation Spears will guest star on current comedy sensation Will & Grace later this season. It’s high time she redeemed herself for the dismal failure of her reality series, and for…well, that odd marriage. Just one question: can Britney’s acting on Will & Grace ever possibly compare to her brilliant turn in Crossroads?
Pop star/paparazzi magnet Britney Spears will join the long list of high-profile guest stars on NBC’s “Will & Grace” later this season.
Spears will play a new, conservative Christian sidekick on Jack’s (Sean Hayes) talk show in an episode scheduled for April. Spears and the cast are set to tape the episode in February.
NBC is billing the platinum-selling singer’s guest spot as her “first prime-time television episodic appearance,” though that’s not exactly true. She appeared as herself in an episode of “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” in 1999—and, of course, was the star of last summer’s unscripted UPN show “Britney & Kevin: Chaotic.”

Cult Hero Blade Slices Into Television

Officially announced today: Spike TV has ordered 11 episodes of the new series, Blade, based on the Marvel superhero vampire-human hybrid who slays vampires.This gritty, non-stop action premise is a perfect choice for the male-centered network, but we’re willing to bet the ladies will enjoy it, too!
“Blade” is perfectly suited for Spike TV and its male viewers,” says Pancho Mansfield, Executive Vice President, Original Programming at Spike TV. “The new ‘Blade’ promises to capture what men want to see: thrilling action and effects combined with an intelligent and highly creative story.”
David S. Goyer, who wrote the screenplays for the “Blade” trilogy as well as Batman Begins, serves as executive producer and co-wrote the script with popular comic book author Geoff Johns. Peter O’Fallon (“Suicide Kings,” “Eureka,” “American Gothic”) serves as director.
Spike TV’s “Blade” focuses on Marvel’s eponymous immortal warrior of the same name fighting a shadowy underworld of vampires who want to destroy the human race. The title character is a half-man, half-vampire who uses his incredible powers and skills to fearlessly battle the demonic creatures of the night in a blood-drenched crusade to prevent the ascendance of vampires over mankind.
